Pleiades 1A and Pleiades 1B, launched on December 17, 2011 and December 2, 2012 respectively, operate as a constellation in the same orbit, phased 180 degrees apart.

They provide 5 acquisition modes: Target, Strip Mapping, Tri-stereo, Corridor and Persistent Surveillance. The image location accuracy is from 1 m to 3 m. Because the satellite has been designed for crisis monitoring, it can collect images within 6 hours upon request.
